Actually... I started off playing clarinet the summer before my freshman year in high school. I studied with Al Kelly. Everyone else was playing guitar, bass, or drums (“cool” instruments). My first band was called Neutral Living Saliva Tank, and I played a birdcage that we found in the trash. I also tried to sing.

Fast Forward... I switched to drums studying with Troy Nicar, John Simmons, Sebastian Whitaker, and Spike Longoria. I also briefly played with The Mob. I toured internationally with The Friendly’s (twice).

In 1998, I switched to electric bass and eventually to upright bass. I also studied piano with Susan Hines at HCC Central where I received my Associates in Art. I've studied music with these fine people: Chris Windham, Giancarlo Cafernera, William Lemmuel, Aric Nitzberg, Frank Murray, Blaine Fallis, Eve Woodard, Rozz Zamarrano, and Mark Holter.
